Succulents are such hardy little things. Some of them can survive in fairly poor soil, or even bare root, with little to no water for a considerable amount of time. Then, as soon as you put them into the ground or a pot and give them a good drink, they perk up and begin to flourish again.
I feel like I’ve been one of those little troopers for the past several years. Life circumstances have left me feeling dry and wilted, just barely surviving, barely hanging in there.
But that is about to change because it’s a new year, and with it comes new goals, new plans, and a new Word for the Year.
My word for 2021 is “Focus” and for me that means:
- Focus on putting needs, ideas, goals, & plans on a list.
- Focus on prioritizing what is on the list.
- Focus on being diligent with each item when it’s time to work on it.
- Focus on completing each item, or list of tasks for an item, before moving on to the next thing.
Focus is so important if anything is going to be done, and done well. I need to keep that in mind as I implement this word on a day-to-day basis and I’m looking forward to seeing how that will shape this year for me.
Happy 2021!
